Overview

Carbon Lighthouse is looking for an HR Generalist to oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of managing Human Resources, payroll, and benefits administration. You will be the first point of contact for internal HR issues and questions and responsible for coordinating new team member onboarding. You will be expected to foster strong relationships with your coworkers and ensure that every voice has a receptive ear ready and willing to listen.

You will be privy to a wide range of confidential and sensitive personal information and you must have unimpeachable trustworthiness and discretion. You will have a proven ability to manage large and varied administrative loads and to find ways around problems. You will be able to organize and manage complex projects. You will have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to represent Carbon Lighthouse as a face of the company when interacting with prospective job candidates and other third parties. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level response to HR and benefits questions
  • Day-to-day management of employee records and HRIS system
  • Own the onboarding experience, ensuring new hires receive a stellar experience
  • Manage and administer benefits programs and coordinate the annual open enrollment process
  • Coordinate immigration support for non-U.S. citizen team members
  • Conduct compensation analysis in coordination with the VP of People Operations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment law
  • Full-cycle recruiting involving sourcing, coordinating, reviewing, working with hiring managers, and closing candidates
    Conduct pre-screens and evaluate candidates using structured rubrics checking personal qualifications to required traits
  • Drive automation and integration of HR processes through software and/or process improvements

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in HR, recruiting or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years work experience
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting and sourcing
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Results driven: demonstrated ability to handle wide variety of tasks and comfort handling diverse workload in a changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to interact internally and externally to manage complex workflows
  • Previous experience handling confidential employee information
  • Growth Mindset: desire to grow and develop new skills, strong interest in particular in developing expertise in HR or employee relations
  • Excellent work habits and organizational ability
  • Strong people, empathy and EQ skills
  • Must be able to work in the US, this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
